Below are the standard cap/filling options. Our caps are venting so the normal overflow and vent lines on the motorcycle are no longer used.
The Standard Cap is our proprietary quick release 1/8 turn billet aluminum cap that ships with your tank.
Lock and Key Cap
Comes with a lock and two keys. If you've decided you want a lock for the standard cap, we can install a lock for you. See below for pricing.
A standard Red Head drybreak. If you've decided you want a drybreak instead of your standard cap, we can install one with an adapter plate for you. See below for pricing.
We have updated our cap design so when ordering caps be sure to check your tanks bezel to know which version of cap retainer to get. See pictures below for more info.
The new version has two small bearings as seen in the picture above.
The old version has a single small divot as seen in the picture above.
The bearings or divot are located on the underside of the bezel and in two locations opposite one another. You should be able to feel with a finger to know which version you have.
**If you have the old style fiberglass bar on your cap and it needs to be repaired, but you do not need a new cap in whole, please contact us as this is UNDER WARRANTY.
Anti-Slosh Foam Baffling
3" x 3" FuelCel Foam Cubes
FuelCel Foam is a special open-cell sponge-like material which only reduces the tanks volume by about 2%. With slightly smaller porosity than other brands, FuelCel Foam controls slosh better. When used with our Kevlar fuel tanks, FuelCel Foam helps suppress explosion, absorb impact energy and most importantly, CONTROL FUEL SLOSHING. This is the same material used in military jet aircrafts for decades.
Fuel sloshing in a Sportbike, Dualsport, MX-bike, ATV, Watercraft or Snowmobile is a significant factor in upsetting the center of gravity due to the violent positive and negative accelerations that are imposed during riding, and especially racing. This sloshing acts like a heavy uncontrolled weight that has to be compensated by your skill and suspension system. It's something like a liquid monkey constantly playing havoc with your handling, or like a passanger that doesn't know how to ride on the back of your bike. With a half tank of fuel, (common for most sprint races assume 3 gallons), that's 18.6 lbs slamming into the front of the tank when brakes are applied. Then slamming to the side after you have established your lean angle in the corners. Then slamming to the back of the tank when you hit the gas. But due to physics, that 18.6 lbs can act more like 60 lb for that initial moment the fuel sloshes to a stop at the ends of the tank! This will affect the line of travel for your vehicle.
Riders report that installing FuelCel Foam gives the impression that they had their suspension done, even to the point of having to adjust their riding style because they were always making minor adjustments compensating for this fuel slosh. FuelCel Foam will enable you to ride more precise lines on the track or trail. Competirors will experience decreasing lap times. A very small investment to maximize the potential of your vehicle.
You can purchase the foam at a significant discount when buying a FuelCel tank, we will even install the foam for you. If you want to fill your own tank you can purchase it in, 1, 2, 5, or 8 gallon increments. You only need to fill the tanks volume by about 75% to get the full advantage that this simple technology affords. Just take your tanks volume and multiply by .75 to find how much you need.
Yamaha R6 Tank Guards for '06-'07 and '08 - Current
Attention Yamaha R6 riders!
Since their introduction in June 2007, our R6 tank guards have helped a number of rider/owners from barbequing their investment on the track. Designed to help reduce the possibility of impact abrasion related failrues of the stock tank, these protetors form fit the tank and front cover.
Produced using the same materials utilized inour lightweight fuel tank constrution, they now include 6 layers of kevlar at the most vulnerable spots on the stock tank. Besides looking good they help transmit impact loads over a larger area further reducing the energy to be absorbed by the stock tank. Hardware kit and instructions are included.

I just wanted to thank you so much for your Yamaha R6 tank protectors. I had a chance to see them work first hand as I was sliding along the ground beside my bike. I managed to low side on lap 3 of an endurance race at Pueblo Motorsports Park in Colorado. The bike slid for more than sixty feet on the right side with the tank mashed against the pavement. The tank itself came through it with almost no damage and the protector, although warn down, did not ware all the way through. This was the kind of crash that could have easily ruptured the tank, covering it with fuel, and incinerating the bike. I have your product to thank for my bikes survival. "I wanted to post a few pics of the FuelCel tank guards I installed this past weekend. After a quick email to John at FuelCel, the guars arrived after about 3 days unpainted and I shipped them out to MCProdesign for custom paint to match my tank and fairings. I also got the fuel baffling that installs inside the tank and aids in killing all the fuel slosh that occurs during abrupt braking and throttle and left-right transition that occurs on track. I have noticed a huge difference on track with these foam baffles installed. The chassis is more settled upon braking and entry."

International shipments are typically shipped via U.S. Postal System and Domestic shipments via FedEx to ensure the best price and tracking information. Some countries have size limits, in those cases we use DB Shenker for shipping. Most all orders for non-custom tanks are ready to ship within 2-3 weeks. If you are needing a tank immediately we can expedite the construction for a 15% fee and ship within 5 days using any shipping method you prefer, UPS, FedEx, Express Mail, etc. Email us if this is your need to make arrangements.
